CAC chairman elected to serve as chairman of Airports Council International
OTTAWA (November 7, 2007) – The Canadian
Airports Council today congratulated its chairman and Aéroports de Montréal
President and CEO Jim Cherry for being elected to lead the international
airport community as chairman of Airports Council International.
“The CAC extends its congratulations to Jim
Cherry for being selected to serve as chair of ACI,” said CAC President and CEO
Jim Facette.“Jim takes the helm of ACI
at an important time for airports around the world and will bring an important
Canadian perspective to the joint issues our colleagues around the world face
today.”
Jim Cherry has been chair of the Canadian
Airports Council since November 2005 and president and CEO of Aéroports de
Montréal since June 2001.He is a
chartered accountant who has over 25 years of experience in general management,
project management and financial management in the international aerospace,
defence and rail sectors.
