Wayne Harvey

Director of Operational and Technical Affairs

Wayne Harvey is the Director of Operational and Technical Affairs for the Canadian Airports Council (CAC). Reporting to the President, his primary responsibilities include aviation and airport operational and technical matters, liaising with government officials on regulatory and other airport related issues and working with the Operations, Safety and Technical Affairs (OSTA); Environment; and Planning, Development and Infrastructure (PD&I) Committees.

Wayne joined the CAC in June 2011 and brings over 27 years’ experience working on Government, national and international initiatives and programs, primarily within the aviation, aerospace and defense sectors. His experience includes program management, business development, marketing and sales within the industry.

Prior to joining the CAC, he worked for the Canadian Council for Aviation and Aerospace (formerly CAMC) and DRS Technologies in Ottawa, and CAE Electronics in Montréal. Wayne is a graduate of McGill University in Montréal with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. He is married with two daughters.
